Shipping

Mushroom Hut delivers within the UK, including Northern Ireland and Scotland. Shipping fees are automatically applied at checkout based on order weight:

  • Orders under 750g – Sent via Royal Mail at a flat rate of £1.99. Small, lightweight items may be sent as a large letter where possible. This applies to small items such as liquid cultures, agar cultures, and small grain spawn orders.

  • Orders over 750g – Sent via Evri at a flat rate of £4.20.

  • Orders over £50 qualify for free standard shipping.

Free Local Delivery
We offer free local delivery to customers in the following postcodes:

  • BB18

  • BB8

To claim free delivery, simply enter the code FREEDEL at checkout.

Most products are made to order. We strive to keep grain spawn in stock for faster dispatch, but this is not always possible. If an order contains both made-to-order and in-stock products, they will be dispatched separately. If a grain spawn sample is ordered alongside made-to-order products, it will also be sent separately to allow customers to start growing sooner.

Processing times vary, with grain spawn orders taking up to 21 days to prepare. Once dispatched, delivery times depend on the courier.

Please note: Customers will not be charged separately for delivery when items are sent in separate parcels.

Returns & Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of our products and the fact that most items are made to order, we do not accept returns for these products. However, if you experience any issues with your order, please contact us within 14 days of delivery, and we will do our best to resolve the problem. This may include a replacement or refund where appropriate.

For non-perishable products, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resalable condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

How to Process a Return

Include your order number and a brief reason for the return.

Return Authorisation
We will confirm if your return is eligible and provide return instructions.

Packaging & Posting
Ensure the item is unused, in its original packaging, and in a resalable condition.

You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

We recommend using a tracked service to ensure the parcel reaches us safely.

Inspection & Refund
Once we receive the return, we will inspect it.

If approved, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 working days.
