Reducing Plastic in Our Packaging
At Mushroom Hut, we’re working hard to reduce plastic in our business wherever possible. As part of this effort, the grain spawn included in our Mushroom Starter Kits now comes in an eco-friendly, non-filter bag made from sustainable materials.
Please note: this type of packaging does not have a filter patch, so the spawn is not suitable for long-term storage. It should be used straight away after delivery for best results.
If you would prefer your kit to include grain spawn in a recyclable plastic filter patch bag (suitable for longer storage), simply leave a note at checkout, and we’ll make the switch at no extra cost.
Please Note:
The kit includes dry growing substrate, which needs to be hydrated before use. This process can be a little messy, so we recommend doing it in an area where you don't mind a bit of clean-up afterwards.
